چکیده

Alzheimer’s Disease is a prominent neurodegenerative disorder affecting the age group 60 and above. Cholinergic hypothesis, amyloid β cascade, oxidative stress some of known etiologies marked importance to name few. We have undertaken computational analysis where fifteen phytochemicals were selected. These natural molecules studied analysed against acetylcholinesterase, butyrlcholinesterase, BACE monomer protofibril. The binding affinities Genistein, Huperzine A, kaempferol, Methyl quercetin, Paclitaxel Withinolide A AChE BuChE enzymes found be -7.7 -8.6 Kcal/mol, respectively. Various like Piceatannol, Ginkgolide B, quercetin bind BACE-1 enzyme with -6.7 -7.9 Kcal/mol. All experienced efficient towards Aβ was all PDB’s efficiently affinity -8.4, -8.9, -7.7, -6.6 -6.8 Kcal/mol enzyme, protofibril, respectively as result it can carried forward for further preclinical clinical studies.

Anti-cholinergic alkaloids as potential therapeutic agents for Alzheimer's disease: an in silico approach.

Alzheimer's disease (AD), a progressive neurodegenerative disorder with many cognitive and neuropsychiatric symptoms is biochemically characterized by a significant decrease in the brain neurotransmitter acetylcholine (ACh). Plant-derived metabolites, including alkaloids have been reported to possess neuroprotective properties and are considered to be safe, thus have potential for developing ef...

An In-Silico Investigation of Phytochemicals as Antiviral Agents Against Dengue Fever

A virtual screening analysis of our library of phytochemical structures with dengue virus protein targets has been carried out using a molecular docking approach. A total of 2194 plant-derived secondary metabolites have been docked. This molecule set comprised of 290 alkaloids (68 indole alkaloids, 153 isoquinoline alkaloids, 5 quinoline alkaloids, 13 piperidine alkaloids, 14 steroidal alkaloid...

Novel Oxadiazole Thioglycosides as Potential Anti- Acinetobacter Agents

The glycosylation of 1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-thiones has been performed with peracetylated β-pyranosyl bromide in the presence of potassium carbonate. Deprotection of acetylated thioglycosides was necessary for increasing their antibacterial effects. The structure of nucleosides were confirmed by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and HRMS. The anomeric protons of nucleosides c1–4 were assigned to the doublet, confirm...

Marine Diterpenoids as Potential Anti-Inflammatory Agents

The inflammatory response is a highly regulated process, and its dysregulation can lead to the establishment of chronic inflammation and, in some cases, to death. Inflammation is the cause of several diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel diseases, multiple sclerosis, and asthma. The search for agents inhibiting inflammation is a great challenge as the inflammatory respons...
